Haunted Bus Tour

Happy October Everyone!  My blogging has been lacking- but I thought I'd share my experience on the Chicago Haunted Bus Tour this past Friday.  I love haunted stories, and this was right up my alley.   Did you know Chicago is the 3rd most haunted city in the world?  Stories ranging from the St. Valentine's Day Massacre to the Great Chicago Fire- this bus tour really covered some great spooks.  I will post some more pics up later, until then enjoy this video of me telling the ghost's what's up! lol :)

Seeing Double

Remember when siblings would dress alike?  I hadn't seen this in awhile, especially amongst my age group.  I spotted these twins earlier & they were turning all sorts of heads.  Would you sport the same gear as a relative/friend?

Morning Commute

These are some shots I took this morning on my walk to work, normally a commute would be a headache- but I can't get enough of mine.  It's the perfect way to wake up, and the streets of Chicago at 6 a.m. are a lot more quiet.  Enjoy the views.

Tasting Chicago

Summertime is a great time to try out new brews & do so on a patio! Normally I enjoy sticking to my Effin Cucumber Vodka Waters, but this year I've been testing out some different beers! Summer Shandy has my vote for best summer brew!  What are yours?  Cheers!

Besides drinking beer, I also was able to check out the Wicker Park fest.  I was amazed by the number of people there.  There was such a diverse crowd, and I wish I could have had more time to check out the local artist's work.  Here is a quick shot from the fest.

Strange Shots Over the Weekend

What a beautiful weekend we had Chicago.  I spent most of my time outdoors, so I apologize on my blog-less-ness. I was almost attacked by a loose parrot on my way home from the CTA on Friday.  This was the pre-attack shot :)

I spent some serious time napping on Saturday at the beach.  I always tend to place myself in front of entertaining people. This man put on some sort of meditation show for me for a few hours.  lol :)

Come & Ride That Train

"My first day in Chicago, September 4, 1983. I set foot in this city, and just walking down the street, it was like roots, like the motherland. I knew I belonged here." Oprah Winfrey

Today, like every day- I walk a mile to the Blue line- then switch to the Red line. My daily commute from Bucktown to Michigan Avenue for work is always an adventure.  Being new to the city, I wasn't really familiar with the different colors of the train, or why some would reference the Red line as being the "scary" train.  I finally found out that I could take the Blue line directly, just with a longer walk to work.  The Red line, just had so much energy- and entertainment-it kept me coming back.  There's a number of aspiring artists who perform everyday in that tunnel in hopes of being discovered by some talent agent.  Here are a few clips of them doing their thang by the train-
